Installation Guidelines and Best Practices
Installation Note: Turn off all main DC supply power before setting hardware DIP switches or inserting wire terminals onto the board.
Setting Addressing DIP Switches: Configure the 8-position DIP switch block to set the unique RS-485 board address (0–31) and host communication baud rate (9,600 to 38,400 bps).
Wiring Supervised Inputs: Wire door contact and exit request lines using 1 k Omega End-of-Line (EOL) resistors in series/parallel to allow the board to detect open, short, and tamper states.
